CM YS Jagan AIMS To Double Farmers Income
Amaravati, Sept.10 (NSS): In order to make agriculture sustainable, state government will be setting up multipurpose facilities, offering 13 kinds of services, at RBKs across the state in order to provide the infrastructural cushion that the Agri-system in the state needs.
These integrated facilities will contain the following , depending on the requirement based on crop patterns like Godowns, Drying Platforms, Collection Centers, Cold Storages, Custom Hiring Centers, Primary Processing Centers, Assaying Equipment, Janata Baazaars,’Bulk Milk Cooling Units, Aqua Infra in selected villages, Cattle Sheds, Procurements Centers and E-marketing facility. A team of representatives from all the departments involved proposed the setting up of a total of 5531 Godowns/Cold Storages/Collection Centers, 4147 Drying Platforms, 4796 Threshers, 7132 Cleaners, 1861 Graders, 15167 Dryers, 654 Dal Mills, 100 Turmeric Boilers, 100 Turmeric Polishers , Millet Processing Units , 29 Chilly Dryers and 816 Maize Shellers.
The CM held a meeting at his camp office in tadepalli on the issue. Speaking on the occasion Jagan Mohan Reddy said that “We have setup over 10,500 RBKs across the state which is just the first step but In order to double the income of the farmers we need to ramp up infrastructure around the RBKs, thereby increasing domestic consumption. as well as demand for quality produce across the globe.”
He also said that the idea of setting up the Godown, Cold Storages , Drying platforms, Janata Bazars etc wherever was needed and added that the best efforts would be made in order to make the lives of the farmers of the state better.’ (NSS)
